Last week, we noted the sudden and surprising re-emergence of F.A. Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom to the top of the Best Seller list. This week, we look at Hayek’s last work, a comprehensive repudiation of socialism on moral and pragmatic grounds, The Fatal Conceit, in this review by Rafe Champion.

I don’t know whether it says more about the influence of Glenn Beck, or the startlingly low number of people who actually read books these days, but Beck’s feature on F. A Hayak’s The Road to Serfdom has rocketed the 1944 tome back to the top of Amazon’s Best Seller List. Hey, anything to get to ideas out there.
