Next week, the Republican National Committee holds its Convention in Tampa to formally nominate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. The week after, the Democratic National Committee holds it Convention in Charlotte to make the case for four more years of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Neither party has had any real suspense heading into their Conventions in decades, and the program will consist of carefully staged speeches. But the Conventions do give each party a chance to highlight its best case to the American people. So, do the Conventions matter, and will you be watching?
