Our colleague Earl Glynn has studied the Congressional expenses posted online last week, and compiled a list of the best party hosts at Watchdog.org. One Member has spent over $6,000 on food and beverages in just three months.

Guam Delegate Madeleine Z Bordallo spent $6,090 on food and beverages on Aug 11 while visiting her home district with the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee.

It’s just one facet of $145 million spent by House of Representative members revealed in the Statement of Disbursements. One small charge to taxpayers was $8.80 for laundry, and the largest single recipient was the U.S. Postal Service at almost $6 million.

New Hampshire’s two Representatives, Paul Hodes and Carol Shea-Porter were much more frugal with their office expenses, at least on food and drinks. Each reported spending less than $400 on food and beverages in the quarter.

You can look up each office’s expenses here.
