New Hampshire small businesses are fighting back against recent changes in the state’s business taxes that will hit 30,000 firms across the Granite State.  Small business owners Andy Sanborn and Andrew Hemingway are leading a coalition to Stop the LLC Tax.

Their new website is collecting petitions to stop the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration from imposing the 8.5% Business Profits Tax and the 5% Interest and Dividends Tax on Limited Liability Corporations. Revenue Commissioner Kevin Clougherty hopes to raise $30 million through the LLC tax.

Sanborn and Hemingway are hoping to generate opposition to the new tax at a public hearing on Wednesday.

Enough is enough. Cut expenses for real. State Government should not be a growth industry.
