DRED Commissioner George Bald Retires

As reported by the Seacoast Online, DRED Commissioner George Bald has submitted his letter of resignation to Governor Lynch:
PORTSMOUTH — George Bald, commissioner of the N.H. Department of Resources and Economic Development has announced he will retire after 13 years in the role, according to Lorna Colquhoun, communications director of the state Division of Economic Development.
In a post on the division’s web page, Colquhoun cited Bald’s letter of his resignation to Gov. John Lynch: “I can’t thank you enough for your support and encouragement over the past six years,” Bald wrote. “The opportunity to work with the DRED Team has been a wonderful experience. They are some of the hardest working people I have ever met.”
Bald’s retirement will be effective Nov. 1.
