Josiah Bartlett Center President Charlie Arlinghaus issued the following statement in response to Governor John Lynch’s factually incorrect veto message to SB 372, the School Choice Scholarship Act.

“We are very disappointed in the Governor’s veto. In addition to containing factual errors, his veto message missed a rare opportunity to show leadership towards real education reform. We count on the overwhelming support for the School Choice Scholarship Act in the House and the Senate to override this veto, and give New Hampshire students more education options. This is a chance for New Hampshire lawmakers to rise above politics in order to provide educational choices to students who really need them. Rich people already have school choice. The School Choice Scholarship Act will bring more options to New Hampshire families that currently can’t afford them.”
