Bottled Water Wars on NH Public Radio
Print This Post
NH Public Radio’s The Exchange debates the movement to ban bottled water this morning at 9am. Listen live at NHPR.org.
Recently, several communities have voted to ban bottled water in their towns, citing concerns over plastic waste and environmental impact. But a backlash is also emerging from those who say singling out water is silly, given the many other sources of packaging that are just as harmful and that these efforts are “all wet”.
Guests:
Grant Bosse: Investigative reporter at the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy. He recently wrote an op-ed called A Drop Less Freedom for the Concord Monitor, criticizing the movement to ban bottled water.
We’ll also hear from…
Chris Hogan: spokesman for the International Bottled Water Association.
Jill Appel: activist who worked on banning the sale of bottled water in Concord, Mass.
